I'm looking for Halloween poetry ideas to do with my second graders tomorrow (yes, I procrastinate!) Thanks in advance!!

I use a poem or song a week with my class. This week I found a song called "In the Graveyard" courtesy of www.dltk-holidays.com There are other Autumn or Halloween poems and songs there, too.

I used this cute fingerplay with my second graders last week:

5 little pumpkins
sitting on a gate
the first one said "Oh my! It's getting late!"
the second said, "There are witches in the air!"
The third one said, "But we don't care!"
The fourth one said, "Let's run! Let's run!"
The fifth one said, "It's Halloween fun!"
Wooooooo went the wind
And out went the lights
And the 5 little pumpkins rolled out of sight!

I made up finger movements to go along with the words and they really enjoyed reciting it over and over and over again!
