We are having a dress up day as your favourite character. I am stuck for ideas as to what teachers can dress up as with minimum fuss. Does anyone have any ideas or pics of easy homemade costumes they would like to share? Thanks!!!

We did this at my old school every year. It was so much fun to see what everybody dressed up as. I am dressing this year as teh old lady who swallowed a fly. I am using an old dress, a smock, and I happen to have a puppet with the pieces but you could print the pieces off the internet and place them in/on the smock. Put a little powder in your hair for gray hair and your're good to go. My partner and I also dressed as frog and toad one year. I wore brown clothes and made a toad hat - I got the pattern from the internet - she wore green clothes and wore the same hat in green. There is also thing 1 and thing 2 that could be very easy.

is so popular right now and you probably have stuff already - tights, jewelry, crown, skirt, fancy shoes.

Not sure if there is a related book...

Our elementary staff got large pizza boxes and hung them around their neck to make Scrabble tiles. They ran around all day arranging themselves into words.
