Has anyone used windows Movie Maker to make a class movie? Have you found success in doing this with first graders?

I haven't used this but my children did when they were teenagers (maybe 5 yrs ago) and they put in A LOT of work. I'm not sure a 1st grader could have done it. Maybe there's a newer version, though.
But maybe they put in lots of work because of their topics.

I use it myself but I am not sure that first graders could do this without your help. With an adult's help they could choose photos to add to it and add slides of print.

I am in a technology class that requires that my students make a movie with my first graders. I did not want to sound like I was "whining" but I feel like really the work will be mine not theirs. My first graders are just getting the log in procedure with name an school password. i can see them taking pictures with a digital camera, using the flip vidoe camera but the small groups making movies is sounding difficult to me. thanks for allowing me to whine. thanks for your help as well

I recently became acquainted with SchoolTube. It is a free site that can get your video or picture media up on the web. It is easier than movie maker in that you don't have to convert files. You can just drop in your video from camera/pics.

Microsoft Photostory is much easier to use and is a free download. Google it.
