After finishing their work...what next?

I know I saw somewere on PT (I thought it was here) that a teacher had students choose from a list of projects posted on a board to do arfter they finish their work. It was a long list of items. There was a particular name for this activity and I can't remember what it was.

I know I'm suppose to search for these things but I couldn't think of wording that would lead me to the thread.

Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?
TIA

Thank you for looking but that wasn't it. From what I remember...well, I'm not sure anymore. There was a picture of the poster which was quite long. Gosh, I wish I could remember more details. The whole class could do it if they wanted to. But it looked good for those who always finish and who needed more challenging work.
