Does anyone have any suggestions for wonderful read aloud books that we can read? I am in a funk between Halloween and not wanting to start Thanksgiving yet. Any suggestions for a good filler this week?

Fall Books
Songs--I just read a few weeks ago Joseph had an Overcoat (I think that's the title)--it's such a great book I never read it b-4. It's by the same author of the newer version of There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly.

You could do a little author study--If you give a Mouse...or Froggy

I sometimes just go to my library and browse for good authors/books.

The whole series of "The Hungry Thing", "The Cat Who Wore a Pot on Her Head" by Ann Seidler&__, any shape book/number book, Scaredy Squirrel (any of them), fairy tales-3 bears, 3 pigs, cinderella, etc., my favorite, "Max, the Bad-Talking Parrot"---you HAVE to read this with a parrot voice. It is tremendous for talking about jumping to conclusions, misunderstanding what someone has said.

The Meanies (whole series, Wright Group), Mrs. Wishy Washy, Dishy-Washy, The Scrubbing Machine, etc.
