addhd students not on meds

I have 2 students that are extremely add. They both are disorganized and their mom's pack their bags every day. The boys blame mom if their work is not completed. Also, they get off task at the drop of a hat, especially talking. They seem to get along with others in the class, but the class is tired of them always blurting out or not knowing what's going on. Both boys are above grade level: one is probably way above grade level. I can put them on the computer, but don't know if that will help their self-control issues.
I need a plan!!! How can I get them focused and responsible for their work and behavior?

I also have an autistic child in the class who demands lots of attention, so it's hard for me to keep track of what each one is doing all day.
Parents are supportive of me and would like to help the boys also. I don't know how they feel about medication yet, since they have had these problems in second grade. I am having report card conferences next week.

just tell them what you have noticed in class, don't mention ADD or medication to the parents. If they ask you about it, tell them to talk with their doctor.

Check out this web site http://www.schoolbehavior.com/

They have some great tools and tips for working with kids with ADHD. Please remember these boys have a brain disorder, it is not a choice for them, they are not trying to be irresponsible or unfocused. You ask the question how you can get them focused and responsible for their work and behavior - realistically you can't. They will need treatment possibly and years of practicing tools and strategies to get there. BUT You can be the one to get them started down the right road. They need tools and strategies to help them be successful. Organization is a huge issue for kids with ADHD. You might find color coded folders for each subject helpful. One side for work completed to be handed in, other side work to be finished. Checklists or check ins with you at the end of the day to ensure they have everything they need before they go home are also helpful. Simple strategies like that often work well if used consistently especially if you have the parents on board and they know what to help the child with at home. Check out the website above they have some good tips.

good luck! These boys are lucky to have you as their teacher!
