AR price question

How much does it cost to buy a quiz for AR? I'm told that we are broke, and I'd like to use 2 (award winning) books with my 6th graders...am willing to buy the stinking tests if they aren't too expensive. TIA

They are not quite $3.00; I'm guessing at $2.89 each.

make your own quizzes. There is a feature (sorry don't have AR here at home but will look tomorrow.) under the teacher/admin section that allows you to make your own and add it to the AR list.

We were never allowed to buy just one or two. I have spent classroom money (like about $100 +) to buy 50 tests once. I have also made a lot of tests as well. Of course, you're only allowed so many test slots - I think I just about used all of them up.

There are 500 open spaces for adding your own tests. They won't let you buy only a few tests. You have to make an "order" of a bunch at once.

There are three teacher-made test-sharing sites available online. You have to request membership for them from the owners, but they have a lot of tests. There is an elementary group, a middle school group, and a high school group. There is quite a bit of overlap since middle school includes books with middle school book levels AND middle school interest levels. Same with elementary and high school.

I won't post the contact information online, but I can send it via PM. I am a member of all groups, so I could even just send the test you want if that would be easier for you.

I believe you have to spend $20.00 each time you buy something from Renaissance Learning (AR).
