Tattle Tongue has helped my kids. I have read it three times. Now I respond to tattlers by just saying, "Tattle Tongue."

A Bad Case of Tattle Tongue by Julia Cook is an excellent book about when you shouldn't tattle and when it is appropriate to tell on someone.

My kids loved the book "Tattle Tongue." Every time one of them tattles I just say, "itchy, itchy, scratchy, scratchy ......" and the tattling stops immediately. Such a cute book
