I am drawing a blank. I need some new, fun and exciting activities for the student of the week to do. I already have the following: * someone writing a letter to them * bring a guest to lunch * read your favorite book to the class

Any other ideas? Thanks so much!!!

I had my students complete a poster about themselves. We hang this in the Hallway. the Students gets to share a book after lunch. that is sitting in my chair and showing the book that has a CD or DVD to go with it. Not much more. I like the bring a guest to lunch idea.

How about...
line leader or caboose (not too original)
comfy spot like a beanbag or chair during SQUIRT time (silent reading) or group time
can lead the Pledge
showcase a talent/hobby
bring in a snack
bring in 5-10 pictures
Fill out a sheet telling about their favorite...song, animal, holiday, book, outside activity, etc...

Hopefully some of this helped.

Monday: Share All About Me Poster
Tuesday: Bring in a favorite picture book from home and I read it to the class
Wednesday: Bring in a favorite item from home to share with the class
Thursday: The class makes a compliment poster about the student (they tell me the compliment and I write it on a big piece of construction paper and laminate it)
Friday: They fill the estimation jar for math
