Hand Turkey

A fun, personal, non pattern is the hand turkey. Kids spread out fingers and thumb and trace around. The thumb gets a wattle and eyes, the fingers get colored as feathers. Legs are added at the wrist.

I tell my students that when they are waiting for Thanksgiving dinner they can get paper and crayons and make place cards for all the people who will be eating dinner together. [Helps them stay out from underfoot and adds to the decor.]
