I have been looking around for a while and I am trying to decide what would be a great subscription website to use. What I mean by that is websites such as edhelper.com or something like that.

If anyone has some websites that they are a member of and would like to share, please do! I am just looking for additional resources to add to my plethora of books that I use every day!

I am a huge fan of the Daily 5 and CAFE...if that gives anyone any indication of what might interest me! Thanks in advance!

I subscribe to edhelper and really like it. I print book reports from it a lot.
I'm also a member of the sisters website, but find I don't use it much.

I also recently became aware of worksheetworks.com and it's free - but I like it and find stuff on it!

I use brainpop.com. Our PTC paid for the subscription. It has short videos and quizzes on numerous subject in all areas.

Excellent! Thanks everyone! I appreciate it. I was just really unsure what would the best websites to use.
Our school does NOT have Accelerated Reader, so it makes it extremely difficult for me to keep my students accountable for some of the books they SAY they read. I REALLY wish that I had it...because I have some students who read A LOT and I know they're not as strong with their reading as they are claiming. For example, one of my students read 84 wpm in three separate tests and told me that she finished the first Harry Potter book in 2 days...I am sorry...but even in 48 STRAIGHT hours of reading, I don't think she could have finished. Keep in kind, for 18 of those hours, she was in class, 3 hours of basketball practice and she lives 45 minutes away and I know she doesn't read....so, when it all adds up...just NO. It never happened.

Children create their own book lists from over 7,000 recommended titles, take multiple choice quizzes on the books they've read, and earn points and prizes for their literary successes. Yeah we have checked out Book Adventure Club.

I joined up to it...but I just don't know how well it'd work out...
I'd have to join it from a student's perspective and see what happens.

This is why I like edhelper...they have open ended book reports and multiple choice choices.
Plus lots of other worksheets!

Good! I just need to start finding things that will supplement my lessons and give the students extra practice...they get it, I just want them to work at it a little more.
