Hello,
We are doing a holidays around the world activity in December and the kids will rotate to each classroom. Do any of you have any activites, crafts, or patterns you can share on various holidays? Thanks in advance!
I have done this oh??? 8 years ago. So my memory is fuzzy. We also rotated and had mini passports that they had stamped. Mexico made paper cup maraccas and tissue paper flowers. Africa tasted fruit and made a Kwanza colored placemat. Germany decorated gingerbread men and ate them and decorated paper Christmas trees....There was one more country since there were four of us on our team but I cannot remember which country it was. Hope this helps get you started.
The activities have to be hands on activities, crafts, movies, etc., because the idea it to be "desk free" and have them engaged and not doing worksheet type things, etc.
One of our teachers is from Chile. She always brings in some of the food that her family in Chile enjoys for holidays. The kids enjoy comparing holiday meals from South America with what we normally eat.

Reason: capitalization
I have used the rotation ideas (centers) for Christmas from Mrs. Griffin's website.....she has so many fabulous ideas!!! I liked that her ideas mix different curriculum areas. Good luck!!
