Creative Curriculum

How many of you use the Creative Curriculum for Preschool?

We use it, and I'm in my third year using it. I feel like the curriculum itself is pretty common sense, and it works well.

The assessment piece, however, is another story. I'm getting ready for conferences right now and I just get so frustrated when trying to fill out the developmental continuums and progress and planning reports.

I have a three hour day with 15-16 students in a class. How do you find the time to gather all of this information?? Am I the only one who is frustrated with this?

Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I am right there with you When you have 8-10 students it is manageable. More is impossible
I have 36 students (18 am/18 pm) and trying to keep track of it all is challenging. I am still looking for the best way to manage observations.
I take lots of pictures, as a way to document, but finding the time to look through them is challenging.
If anyone has a good system, I would be happy to hear it.

I spent hours and hours the last 2 weeks getting them done! Thankfully I have great assistants who could do a lot of covering during centers and other times so that I could get them done. I also spent a lot of time doing them at home!

I don't have time to do observations either. We have access to the website, but I haven't had the opportunity to set up my class. I have 27 students (all day). My assistants aren't really able to keep track of stuff. I have a hard enough time getting them to even clean the classroom the end of the day!

There are 2 of us in our classroom, and we split the class up (she takes half and does observations and creative curriculum and I do the other half). I still take observations of her kids, and she of mine, but the responsibility of entering them and doing progress reports is split. It's still alot, and we end up doing alot of it at home.
