I have good news about my conferences. I have 23 students. Tonight was our last night for Fall conferences. I had 100% turn out over the three nights. Almost all the Dad's were in attendance too.

That's incredible. What a blessing to have that many parents interested in their child's education. Sounds like you will be having a good year.

That is awesome! We are not required to meet with all families at this point, because so many teachers were setting up evening conferences and were stood up multiple times by many parents.

Any pointers for the rest of us? I had 100% attendance at school last year for the first time in over 20 years of conferences. I don't even have a clue how it happened, but would love to hear any suggestions you have.
BTW, we have the child conduct the conference and that is usually a good way to get them in, but not always.

That is great! Did you do anything special in anticipation of your conferences. I only had 6 parents at my Back-to-School, so I don't have high expectations for parent conferences. At the school I used to work last year, conferences were mandatory (or so they claimed) and sometimes I had a difficult time getting some parents in. I always had to chase some in the parking lot to sign the mandatory sign in sheet so I could give it to my sup. and then talk over the phone about their student.
