Does anyone know any cute Thanksgiving poems or songs that would be cute for the whole kindergarten to do? I just found out that we are doing a short "program" thing for our parents in 2 weeks... and no one else has started anything! Any help would be much appreciated!!

Thanks so much!

I love Thanksgiving songs! Here are a few I did with my Kindies:

(to the tune of Are You Sleeping?)
Turkey dinner, turkey dinner
Gather 'round, gather 'round
Who will get the drumstick?
Who will get the drumstick?
All sit down, all sit down.

Cornbread muffins,
Chestnut stuffin',
Pudding pie, one foot high.
All of us were thinner,
Till we came to dinner,
Me,oh, my! Me, oh, my!

"Five Fat Turkeys" (no common tune, sorry)
Five fat turkeys are we
We slept all night in a tree,
When the cook came around
We couldn't be found
So that's why we're here, you see!

"Gobble, Gobble"
I met a turkey gobbler when I went out to play.
"Oh, Mr. Turkey Gobbler, How are you today?"
"Gobble, gobble, gobble, that I cannot say.
Don't ask me such a question on Thanksgiving Day!"

Look At Mr. Turkey

Look at Mr. Turkey, see him trot.
He's fun to watch and a chicken he is not.
Mr. Turkey's talk is gobble, gobble, gobble.
Mr. Turkey's walk is wobble, wobble, wobble.
Mr. Turkey is looking fat and fine.
Better hide, Mr. Turkey! It's Thanksgiving time.

Thanksgiving Song
(Tune: Twinkle, Twinkle)

Let's be thankful for this day,
For our friends and for our play.
Let's be thankful; let's be glad,
For the food and things we’ve had.
Let's give thanks for you and me,
And our home and family.

Turkey Pokey
(Hokey Pokey)

You put your right wing in.
You put your right wing out.
You put your right wing in,
And you shake it all about.
You do the turkey pokey
And you turn your self around.
That's what it's all about.

Additional verses:
Left wing (left arm)
Drumsticks (legs)
Stuffing (tummy)
Wattle (head)
Tail feathers (bottom)
Turkey body (whole self)

Five Little Turkeys
Five little turkeys standing at the door,
One waddled off, and then there were four.

Four little turkeys sitting near a tree,
One waddled off , and then there were three.

Three little turkeys with nothing to do,
One waddled off, and then there were two.

Two little turkeys in the morning sun,
One waddled off, and then there was one.

One little turkey better run away,
For soon it will be Thanksgiving Day.

A turkey sat on a backyard fence and he sang this sad, sad tune
Thanksgiving Day is coming gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble and I know I'll be eaten soon
Gobble x7
I don't like Thanksgiving Day
Gobble x7
I would like to run away
