I had the kids do the I am NOT a Turkey project as a family project. They did an awesome job! THe kids were super excited about it! They are adorable and so creative!
I did feel bad for one child though, the mom did EVERYTHING except color the face. It was kind of sad... he told me after I praised the class for their creativity and efforts " I couldn't make mine, my mom said I wasn't perfect" she also told me she had bags under her eyes because she was up till 11:00 doing the project... She is very overbearing and perfectionist.

Anyway, it was so much fun! I found a graphic of a turkey showing a thumbs up in clip art and made them a little note that says:
Thank you so much for making my disguise! You did such a great job I want to give you a thumbs up! I will definitely make it through Thanksgiving with your help. Even my mom Tina Turkey and my Dad Tom Turkey didn't recognize me as they walked past me in the hall!

Family Turkey Project


It has the template for the naked turkey and the dialog box for the naked turkey. If you search Naked turkey you'll find the original letter. This is a GREAT project. I did it last year and will do it again this year.

I love this idea and your student's pictures turned out sooooo cute!!! Just wondering if anyone had a book that went along with this?
