prizes

I'm bored with the prizes I give out to my students. I currently give out pencils, homework passes, and they can read to smaller children. Any fun, (cheap if not free), ideas? Thanks!

Use the teacher's chair
Complete a quiz/homework with a friend
Move your desk
Draw on the white board/chalkboard
Bring in sugar free gum for a day
Buddy read with a friend
Take a night off of homework- but still complete it the day after
Have lunch with you
We have assigned tables at lunch, so sit at a different table at lunch
Take two books home
Do all of the class jobs

Hope this helps

Note card home to parent, with a big star

First one out the door at lunch (or recess)

Choice of the next book read in her/his group

A lottery ticket for a big prize to be drawn at the quarter

Computer time (maybe on a pre-approved game)

A trip to the principal's office to get presented with a "congratulations card" (That was a regular at our school)

Puzzle time - do you have a table which you could dedicate to a jigsaw puzzle - maybe one that has the names and faces of presidents, or facts from a special time in history

Extra Points on a quiz Pass

I have done this in the past. I would print off some slips that would have 5 on them. Students could attach them to their quizzes for an extra five points.
