Have you heard of the Nickelodeon cartoon "Making Fiends?" There is an excellent clip you could show from the cartoon that would be an excellent jumping off place for subjective vs. objective point of view. The show is premised on this evil little girl who terrorizes the whole town. One day another girl, Charlotte, comes to town and she is bright and cheery. Vendetta is infuriated and confused by this constant cheer and lack of terror she experiences from Charlotte. Best I can tell (we have it set for the Tivo to record all episodes) there are only 6 shows. The one I like is a narrative written by the two girls in their diary at night. Charlotte and Vendetta both write about the same events of the day; however, their subjective perspectives are very different. As the audience, the class gets to be the objective viewer. IT is a great scene that lasts about 6 minutes tops, but really gets the point across. Maybe someone has posted it on You tUbe.

Good luck.

I'm glad I read your post and response better this time. I was about to send you a lesson on pronouns.

I was reading your post because I also need to teach sub/obj POV next week and when searching for the "making Fiends" clip, I noticed that it has been removed. Is there any way that you could possibly email it to me since you were able to download it??? Thank you!
