Does anyone have a writing activity form for post field trip? The one we've been using is too simple for 3rd graders. Thanks

I read a great idea that I have been waiting to use, but we haven't gone on a fieldtrip yet. Take pictures during the field trip (at least 1 per student) and then when you are back at school and have the pictures printed out, have the students write about what was happening in the picture. Then you can make a class book!

A poem?

An acrostic is always easy. There is also something called an event poem that might work. I do not have the instructions here at home. You can probably google it and see if you like the format. Have fun on your field trip with your students.

This is a graphic organizer I learned about in the last couple of years, and I am learning how it can be used in a variety of ways.

You could have the students after their field trip do this.

THey write down 3 things that they learned from the field trip.
They then write down 2 things that were just very interesting to them.
They then write down 1 question that they still have even after the field trip is complete.

The one question you could use for future lessons or a mini research opportunity for your students.
