Need December display case ideas

My class is in charge of the office display case for December. We usually do January or February and do clay snowmen. I was thinking maybe we could do something related to holiday or gingerbread man (Christmas ideas are OK here). Any ideas??

to make gingerbread men if you don't have allergies.

1 cup ground cinnamon
4 tablespoons white glue
3/4 to 1 cup water
Mix cinnamon and glue. Gradually add the water. Stir until a ball of dough forms. Roll out with rolling pin 1/4 inch thick and cut with cookie cutters. Poke a hole and let dry at room temperature for 1 to 2 days, turning over every 6-8 hours. If desired, decorate with white Royal Icing. Hang with ribbon and enjoy the fragrance!

I decorated mine with puffy paint. You can use math etc. with this project. You can usually purchase cinnamon at odd lots or the dollar tree for a lot less than other places.

We make gingerbread houses and put them in the display in December. It's a little time consuming, but the kids LOVE it and they look awesome!

I think you should do Gingerbread houses. There is an easy way to do them with graham crackers using the school size milk containers as a support structure. Just use frosting to adhere the crackers to the outside of the carton and then decorate. The kiddos LOVE this!!

I've done the December hallway display case for the past several years. I do a holidays around the world theme. For example, I display the book The Legend of the Poinsettia and a fake poinsettia plant; Christmas Trolls book and a Norwegian jultomten; Uncle Vova's Tree and a matroiska. I use six books and objects, and on the side of the case I put a poster that lists how to say Merry Christmas in several languages. It always looks so festive!

I can't remember where I got this idea but it was really cute. The children made reindeer--I think it was a cut and paste with different shapes: ovals for head and body, rectangles for neck and legs, triangle for the tail. I think they had to draw and cut antlers (this was Kindergarten so you can just imagine some of the antlers!) I put the reindeer all over the bulletin board and called it Reindeer Tryouts.
