I have to request a fingerprinting packet from NYS and when I went on the website it just brought me to a blank email... does anyone know what I'm supposed to do?

Are you in the process of being hired by a district? When I was first hired by one of my districts (when I was working as a TA -while going for my MS) they sent me , along with paperwork to the local police precinct. The precinct did the fingerprinting and sent it upstate. I have never heard of a packet. You may want to call a local school district for more info.. Once you have them done, every district checks for clearance with the state and they approve you for the district that you are working in. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I know you can get fingerprinted at any sheriff's department. Don't know if that helps you or not. If you are a college student ask them for a packet. THe packets were offered to us just before we did student teaching. I already worked in a school and the school had all the paperwork and fingerprinting materials so I did not need to do anything but show up in the business office. I tried what you did. I would just type fingerprint package in the box, type in all of your info including name, address, etc and give them a few months to get it to you. And yes it will likely take a few months - very slow system.
