Hi, I was wondering if anyone has ideas for a December Family project that does not include the Christmas tree or gingerbread boy. I did a pumpkin and turkey feather for the past two months.

I would appreciate any ideas.

In years past I have had my children make a wreath with their families. I cut a circle from poster board, approx. 10 inches, then cut out the middle to make a base for the wreath. I use green poster board. The family can use any variety of things to decorate with, things from nature, snack foods, candy, buttons, cut outs from cards or magazines, etc. They are usually all very unique.

I have had students make a poster of how they celebrate their holiday. It 's nice if all family members are represented in some way. This is great because everyone gets to represent their beliefs.

I might even have to change (I usually do gingerbread men/women.)

I never thought of doing a wreath. What a great idea! I will also check out the link that was listed.
