I've have been thinking of starting a class website for a while now- but I don't want to pay for a service until I know my students/parents/team will benefit from it?...any ideas?! Thanks in advance...

Thank you so much for your quick answers! Has anyone ever heard of a grade wide site? or do you generally think it is better to just have a site for each classroom?

I use schoolworld. It is a subscription site but it has so much that you can do. you can keep track of how many people are looking at particular pages and you can easily attach links for the parents to print for their children. I noticed a bit jump in sight word recognition when I posted the list on the site. My school reimbursed me the cost and suggested to the rest of the staff that they switch to this. You can check it out if you'd like. Visitors are more than welcome to browse.

I am still learning how to work everything and it's constantly a work in progress. Good luck!
