I stopped by my mailbox on my way out of school today before thanksgiving break and we had our first gingerbread person from Oregon. I think the other teach that is doing the exchange and I were SO excited. I'm excited for Thanksgiving break but can't wait to share it with the kids when they get back!!!

We just began making our gingerbread people today. I am from WV and we are dressing our like a coal miner. The kids are loving it!! We used glitter and they lay unfinished in my classroom. WE have school on Monday and Tuesday then we are off for Turkey day!!
I look forward to receiving the first gingerbreads!! Hope you have great success with your exchange!

We received the gingerbread person from Oregon too. I showed the kids and they were so excited. Now, I need to get our map up and start hanging them. Hoping to send ours out by Monday! I have to buy some envelopes this weekend.

The kids are excited to receive them. We sent ours out on Thursday. They aren't beautiful, but they were made with love! I'm hoping we'll get one on Monday or Tuesday of next week. I have the bulletin board up and ready and the kids are eager!

I think the students are just excited to receive the gingerbread people from different places not whether they are beautiful. My students in first grade put ours together. They wanted to take them home. I will send them out in the mail!
