I need some ideas for my fine motor station. I would like to open this station but don't know exactly what to put there for my students. Any ideas or suggestions would truly help because this is my first of teaching and I am feel very lost.

Nuts and bolts they have to screw together, lacing cards, cutting things like coupons or lined papers, beading, poking out shapes or pictures(clipart style) with a push pin or poker.

I have a bin of craft pompoms that the students pick up with trainer chopsticks (I found some really cute colored ones with animals on top at a toy store). They put the bin in the middle of the table, and each child chooses a color of pompom to get.

beads to put on pipe cleaners or shoe laces-use the beads that have an alphabet on them for a dual purpose-tracing paper to trace simple pictures

Lakeshore has some great games where the child uses "Tweezers" to feed carrots to a rabbit as well as a few others.

You might consider purchasing an Etch A Sketch or two. The mini ones are only about $4-5. My students love them.
