sight word visual "me"

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I'm trying to find a visual for the sight word "me" I was trying to google
"point finger at self" clipart, but found nothing. I guess I could always take a picture of a student pointing to his/herself but I'd appreciate if someone could find some similar sort of clipart on here. TIA !

!! that's adorable ! I never would have thought of that. The only thing is I'm afraid that kids will think the word "me" is "mirror." Do you use a pocket mirror in your classroom?

whole brain teaching for sight words
Old 11-25-2009, 03:36 AM

the website for whole brain teaching (apparently I cannot figure out how to post a link or proteacher is blocking me from posting it) has a really great section called "biffytoons" with pictures AND hand motions for teaching a lot of the most basic sight words. My class is loving using those. I printed the entire biffytoons manual and then use the large pictures for flashcards and also post them for the words of the week.

The site is whole brain teaching (spaces removed with dot com at the end)

The site seems to block my posting of websites. I am not sure how to post a link. At any rate. If you type in "whole brain teaching" as one word with dot com after it, this will take you to the whole brain site. It is really good. I am using many of the classroom management techniques also. It is amazing how well it works. Hope you can find it!

A second vote for Biffytoons!

I started using these from the begining of the year and my kindergarten kids love them. I printed them off in colour, laminated them, added a magnetic clip to the top and my class LOVES to play with them in free time. The gestures are easy to learn and explain. You will have to register to get the free download of manual and cards. Google "Biffytoons"
