Does anyone know of a website that has a variety of pictures that I could print off to make a rotation/schedule board for my Literacy Centers??

Thanks!

www.abcteach.com use to have center signs. I haven't checked for a while. It's a paid site, but they do have some free stuff. www.janbrett.com has some center signs. You might find something there.

See if you can borrow the Fountas & Pinnell book Guided Reading. It has pictures in it for centers. They can be reproduced on cardstock, colored (if you want to) and laminated. Then you can use magnetic tape on the back and put them up on your board. I made a set for my classroom 2 yrs. ago and I still use them. For centers I created new names for, I just used some of the pictures and used white out to change the names of some of the centers. They work pretty well. They really are geared to literacy centers. I have some of the abcteach ones as well but really only use the Fountas & Pinnell ones. Hope this helps.

You can make some signs on PowerPoint. There are some sweet templates available on the internet. Then they will be customized!

Carl's Corner has great signs, and everything you ever wanted for word study. I don't have the URL bookmarked here, but do a google search. Then look in Center's Corner or something like that. I'll be using those myself this weekend.

What I found that works the best is to take a picture of the center with a digital camera. It works wonders. Since I have done this, not one student has been confused over where to go. Even if you centers change, take a pic of the area the center is located. For example, I have a picture of my spelling list because the kids will do something with spelling that week (stamp words, build words with magnetic letters, play doh, etc.). I also have a pic of a student desk that I always put a station at...no matter what is there, they know to go there that day.
