Movie Parent Permission letter
Old 04-20-2010, 03:03 PM

Clip to ScrapBook #1

My class is reading Helen Keller. I would like to do a comparison between the book and the movie. I would love to show the newer Disney version of the Miracle Worker. My district is really strict about movie policies and we have to have parent permission for anything that is rated. Does anybody have a letter drafted for permission for this kind of a thing?

Thanks in advance!

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):
To celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss, we will be doing many class activities involving this great author. On Friday, March 26, 2010 we will read The Cat in the Hat. Once we read the book we will then be watching the new 2008 version of The Cat in the Hat to compare and contrast the book with the movie. This movie is rated PG. If you want your child to participate in this comparing/contrasting activity on Friday please sign and return this form by Wednesday, March 24, 2010.

There is a cartoon version that is only 30 min long on United Streaming or I am sure you could find the video if you don't have a membership. It is a video by Animated Hero Classics.

I didn't know there was a new version of this movie. I would love to see it myself.
