Do you have a "teacher bag"?

I have been carrying around just a regular leather tote I bought from Target a few years ago but often see other teachers in my building with cute cloth bags with teacher sayings or prints on them and now I want one! I am hoping to find one that zippers! Does anyone have one of these, if so where did you find it? Or is everyone else just using a tote like I have been?

I got a great tote about five years ago from Vera Bradley. They are sorta pricey, but it has lasted, looks great (she has great patterns) and I can throw it in the wash when it gets dingy. It has zippers, compartments, and keeps me organized.

Go to ballarddesigns.com. Search for totebags. They make the CUTEST totebags that you can have monogrammed. They are made very well and are very reasonably priced--$25.00

used to always get these free at conferences. (I have tons of them from my years of teaching.) Many conferences still do offer free totes. You can also usually find ones with cute sayings at teacher stores or on teacher store web sites. Try Really Good Stuff or any popular teacher site and do search for tote.

My old teacher tote was a leather dark pink one that I purchased at Marshall's for $20. I guess I got what I paid for because one of the straps tore a year later.

The one I have now is a large black tote with my sorority letters in zebra print.

I have a medium sized LL Bean tote bag. I have a few that I can interchange throughout the year. I find that they bigger the bag, the more I put in it!

sorry!! I posted this saying land's end when I really got my tote from LL Bean. There was a Land's end magazine sitting next to me as I wrote this and wasn't paying a bit of attention! Summer brain!

anyway....
LL BEAN is where mine came from. it's made of really heavy canvas and zips. it says you aren't supposed to wash it in a machine, but i have countless times and it's been fine. Mine has lasted so far going on its 6th year and hasn't busted a seam or anything. love it!

Tote Bag

Since I end up at a lot of meetings and commuting on the train I've stuck with using my Coach leather bags. They are extremely sturdy and look "professional" when I'm not in a school setting. AND it seems the more I cram in the more they hold strong. I have a black one for the winter and a camel one for fall and spring.

I know that my teacher store has a huge section of "teacher"items and Really Good Stuff has a bunch, but the ones I always snag at conferences I end up giving away or they are shoved in a closet somewhere, I also use them for groceries at times.

I love Vera Bradley bags for my teacher totes. The trouble is there is always a new print that I love.

Yes, I have a teacher bag. It is a green $1 Walgreen's bag that you use for groceries. It works very well.

Look on PT advertisement board. Just posted this week - very cute. They're called Fresh Baguettes.

I bought one from LL Bean, and my MIL got me one from Land's End. Both have held up really well.

a Vera Bradley - I have the one called The Vera - big enough, lots of inside pockets and two outside pockets - and, like another poster said, it is washable - so always looks fresh

My mom is a seamstress, and she made me a super cute oversized bag, with a few separate pockets large enough to hold files.

I have a "Vera" from the Vera Bradley collection, which I love! I also have an LLbean one that a student got for me with the long handles so you can wear it over your shoulder and a zipper top that I like. It also has my name in it. I recommend both! The Vera Bradley one is a little more on the expensive side.

I was very lucky to have an awesome aid one year that got me a monogrammed one at the end of the year. It is AWESOME! It's large and washable.
