I teach a self-contained K-5 EB/D class. I will have 1st, 3rd and 5th at the beginning of the year. My stress every year is lesson plans. I tried putting them all on one plan my school provides (it just didn't work out). I was wondering if anyone designed a multi-grade lesson plan or do you use different lesson plans for each subject for each grade. All in all, it's like doing 12 lesson plans (I get so overwhelmed!) 4 content areas for 3 different grades.

When I was in a similar situation I used a book called: Tough to Reach Tough to Teach... or it was vice versa. There was a good chapter on this topic and it was were I started and then adapted!

I'm fearing this will happen to me this year. When I was in my old district and I was the reg. ed person, I gave my lesson plans to the sped teacher and she didn't have to re-invent what I was already planning on teaching. Hopefully this year I'll have some cooperative teachers and can get lesson plans and just teach from there.

Attached are my lesson plans. I made the format and adjusted things as the year went by. My plans are color-coded by student. It makes it easier to find things (for me and my assistants). This is a word document, so feel free to adapt/change it to suit your needs.
