I am looking for a February bulletin board idea to post in our office. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Since you are putting it in the office, how about featuring the teachers and staff? You could say something like, "Teachers are at the HEART of our school!" Have a pix of each teacher mounted inside a heart. Maybe group them by grade or subject area. Use a red gingham fabric background with lacy ruffle around the sides as a border (like a Valentine's card).

Don't forget the Winter Olympics are this February. You can do a lot with the Olympic theme.

Our school librarian had a cute Valentine's wall board last year. Staff brought in a picture of their pet, put it on a large cut out heart, and students and parents were encouraged to guess what staff member the pet belonged to.

Thanks for the Olympic idea. I decided to do: Read For The Gold with the Olympic ciricles. Then have the 5th graders write down their favorite book on a cut out.

Let's remember Black History Month in February and remember that Martin Luther King, Jr., is not the only famous Black American in Black history.

Did you put up anything that had to do with Black History?

My first message had teacher spelled wrong. I didn't proofread before I sent it.
