Favorite grading pens/markers?

I saw another post about good pens, but I thought I'd ask specifically - what do you prefer to grade with? I usually like to use the ultra-fine Sharpies, but if it's a two-sided paper, I'll use thin Crayola markers or Flair pens.

What do you grade with?

I prefer thin Crayola markers, but most of the time I end up using whatever pen I can find. I suppose I could be better organized about this.

Pilot G-2 minis. The regular one are great also but I think the minis come in more colors than the big ones do.

I like the Pentel ultra fine red pens or black or purple...I just like those pens for everything, not only grading

I liked the thin Crayola markers or the Sharpie Pens. The Sharpie pens have a extra fine point, come in different colors, and do not bleed through the papers like the ultra-fine Sharpies. I really liked the ultra fine vis-a-vise pens, but they quit making them.

I second senseigold!

The thin Mr. Sketch, Mr. Sketch Stix, are the best for grading! The smell so yummy it makes grading more entertaining for me and the kids love smelling their papers, plus they don't bleed through.

I love the Flair brand.

BUT, I've never thought of using crayola. I'm sure those are way cheaper. I've got some investigating to do at Target.

My favorite pen is the Pilot Precise. I use blue or green for homework/classwork. I use red or pink for test grades. This is how they are recorded in my gradebook.

Thin Markers

I use any kind of thin marker. Mostly Flair pens and Crayola markers. I do have three Mr. Sketch Stix left over from a long time ago. You used to be able to get the Mr. Sketch Stix everywhere. Now I have only seen them on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Sketch-Scented...0532832&sr=8-1

I ordered 2 sets for the upcoming year.

I like the Flair pens for the many colors!

I love, love, love the...FriXion, by Pilot. It's an erasable gel pen - erases from friction and you can't even see any ink remnants. I love it because I make errors while grading. Oops.

I also use the thin Crayola markers - relatively cheap and very easy to find. I also like the Bic multicolored ultra thin markers, but they are a little pricier.

I use green ink...we use red pens for editing. I've never tried the Mr. Sketch Thin makers...I really like the others so I may have to splurge for a green one!

I always get my Stix from Teacher Direct. They're much cheaper than Amazon. My friend and I love them so much we've talked about buying a huge box of them and splitting the cost!
