Any ideas about where these might be purchased at the least expensive price? Thanks!

Maybe it's worth a phone call to your local Goodwill, Salvation Army or thrift store. People in your area might be selling them on craiglist.com also.

I just bought 5 of these - I use them as a classroom management tool!

I got mine at Dollar General, they were $5/each for the smaller ones and $8/each for the larger/themed ones (like the mermaid one). I happened to be there talking to the manager and said they were for my classroom & she gave me a 10% discount!! So with the savings I bought some candy I didn't need

It sounds like an intersting idea that kids would love, but I am wondering how you are using them. TIA

I'm wondering the same thing -- very intriguing...

But to help answer your question, you can sometimes find lots of things at a reasonable price on Amazon.

I'd post a wanted ad in the kids section and see if anyone wanted to get rid of some. I was just at Costco and noticed they had a HUGE container of them for about $18.

Found Some

I found them at Dollar General for $3. They're small and have six parts to add. They're for my son's mother-in-law who teaches 1st grade. She's going to use them with teams for behavior. Good behavior allows them to choose a body part to add to theirs and the team with the most complete Mr. Potato Head at the end of the day (or week - not sure) gets to go to the Treasure Box. I know she plans to use them at the beginning of the year. I'm not sure if she'll continue it throughout the year or not. I was excited to find them for her! Thanks to all who offered suggestions!
