Fun songs for 4th grade

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I am learning how to play the autoharp and was wondering if anyone has some fun song ideas for 4th grade. The book I am learning from is very old, it has some oldies but goodies, but I wondered about fun songs that would have the chords with them. Any ideas or resources? What songs do your students love?

Can you play the Addams Family theme song?

I have 2 songs we use during the year sung to the tune of this one
One is "These are my Friends" and the other is "The Atoms Family" (science song).

We also sing an oldie but goodie "Big Rock Candy Mountain" -Tom Chapin's version.

You use your students names in the song.
This is my class from last year:

These Are My Friends
(sing to the tune of the “Addams Family”)

CHORUS
These are my friends (snap, snap)
These are my friends (snap, snap)
These are my friends; these are my friends
These are my friends (snap, snap).

There's Jake, Daetin and James
There's Hunter and Breanna
There’s Zak and there’s Emma
And then there’s Josie O.

CHORUS

There's Taylor, Therese and Michael.
There's Stacie, Sydni and Megan
There's Jude, Ryan and Cy
And then there’s Erica.

CHORUS

There's Josie P., Cora and Clare.
There’s Chris and Isabella.
There's Dylan, Jessica and Donnie
And that's our Room 43 class!

Abalone

There's this song that I have from a very old series called Abalone. I don't have any idea how you could find the tune, but to help get started the words are:

(addendum: here's the song with slightly different words on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Abalone-Song/dp/B0012N011W)

In Monterrey, the people say,
They feed the Lazaroni,
On caramels and cockleshells,
And hunks of Abalone.

Chorus:
Abalone,abalone
Abalone,abalone
And hunks of abalone.

Well some folks boast,
Of quail on toast,
Because they think it's toney,
But my big cat,
Gets nice and fat,
On hunks of Abalone.

Chorus

I telegraph, my better half,
By Morse or by Marconi,
But when in need of greater speed,
I send an abalone.

Chorus

Our naval hero best of all
His name was Pauly Joney,
He sailed the seas Just as he pleased
But he never ate abalone

Chorus
