Learning Menus

I am really focusing on differentiated instruction this year. I want to try and meet every student at their own instructional level. I know the group coming up has so real low students and several gifted students. I was wondering on organizational methods that you use that work to help differentiate...but also any reproducible activities that you may have already created and want to share.

Specifically, I am looking to create learning menus for my gifted students before school starts. Subjects include: 4th grade Math: place value, adding and subtracting large whole numbers, x, division, fractions, measurement, geometry.

I will also be new to teaching science as well. So any learning menus or differentiated projects would be VERY helpful! Thanks!

I love using menus with my gifted students. Here's a resource I use. I purchased all the books and love them all because my students loved them.

There is a wonderful book- Differentiating Instruction with Menus - from fruprockpress.com and they have one for math, one for language arts, one for science and also one for social studies. It has everything you are looking for....

I used both these resources to create a place value menu this weekend. I am not sure how to attach it, but it you pm me maybe I can send it to you in an email attachment. It would be great if we could share our menus- they are time consuming to make!

I am interested in using differentiated instruction in my classroom, however this is the first I heard of menus. Would love for you to send me one and if I am able I will try to create some on other concepts. Thanks.
