Zales warranty

I was going through a drawer in our mudroom when I discovered my warranty paper for Zales on my engagement ring. To keep the warranty on the diamond you must take it in every six months to get cleaned and inspected. I was supposed to go in June! I completely forgot about it. We were in the last week of school, then I had a workshop and emergency gallbladder surgery, then an extensive road trip that we just got back from. So, I have had the thing for 13 years and now I have completely and totally forgotten. Has anyone else done this? If I take it to the store will they still give me the signature for the warranty? I feel so stupid! I know it seems silly but I just had to tell someone. I can't make it to the store until tomorrow so I won't know if they will still sign for it. I hope so.

I also have forgotten to have my ring checked within a 6 month period and they still have signed it. I'm hoping that the warranty is still good even tho the dates aren't every 6 months.

My rings are from Roger's and H_____ (can't remember). I have overshot getting my inspected in the past and they always check it for me when I remember to come in. I don't know if Zale's works the same way.

I did the same with my necklace and ear rings. They inspected them and caught up the paperwork. I think as long as they don't find a problem, you'll be fine.

go ahead -I lost my diamond because I failed to have it checked - just ask for a new warranty after they clean and inspect and get back into the habit. Oh, don't forget to have separate insurance on your ring - household doesn't count.

They will sign it for you late, but if it needs repair they will not cover the repair. At your next 6 month time, they will cover it if it comes in on time.
