Does anyone have or know or can write a short/easy poem with short i words? I have the Super Book of Phonics Poems (and about 7 other poetry books!) but the poems in them are very long and it's too overwhelming for my first graders (and me) this early in the year. This should be such an easy thing for me to find, but I have almost googled myself to death over it!

They are in my classroom though, so I will post tomorrow when I get to school!

Rin Tin Tin
Swallowed a pin
Went to the doctor,
The doctor wasn't in.
He opened the dorr
And fell on the floor
And that was the end
Of Rin Tin Tin

Mr. Fig Met a Pig

Mr. Fig went up the hill
To look for his best friend, Jill.
On his way, he saw a pig.
It was wild and really big.
Mr. Fig did a flip,
And down the hill he did zip.

Those are a couple of the good ones I have used in my classroom. Hope this helps you!
