Elf on the Shelf Note

In a prior post, catsandquilts, wrote about Elf on the Shelf. Great Idea! I'm using your idea and decided to leave a note and a little box at students desks. The box will be sitting on the note (I'm attaching) and inside the box will be a note for the student. For example the note might say "Ask your teacher if you could eat lunch with her?" , "Ask your teacher if you could take a special book home to read", etc. Anyway, the note is attached for those who choose to use The graphics came from Lettering Delights - love, love, love, their graphics.

Hello, I was wondering how you plan to implement Bucket Fillers in your classroom. My school introduced How Full is Your Bucket at our retreat this year. I love the concept but have not used it in the classroom yet. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. thanks

bucket filler ideas

I have a Bucket Filling classroom this year. I introduced the concept by reading the book and then we brainstormed a list of ways that we can be bucket fillers. My first graders then created a class book called, "We are Bucket Fillers." I also have pom poms and a small glass vase that I put a pom pom in when I notice someone being a bucket filler. I have a sign on the vase that says, "We are a Bucket Filler Classroom." The one rule that I have is that I will not put a pom pom in the vase when someone tells me they did something good. The kids really have responded to the concept and are even using it at home!
