L-blend lessons...

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I'm student teaching right now and have to teach a few lessons on L-blends to a group of 2nd grade pull-out students.. I reference the teaching manual, but of course its boring! Reading a poem, circling the blends, and reading words gets old REAL fast! I've only come up with an idea or two and need some help coming up with interesting approaches/books/poems/ideas... something!

Thanks so much!!

What about making a spinner ( like you use to play games but with letters instead of numbers) with different blends on it. You could have bl, cl, fl, gl, pl and sl. You spinner the arrow and whater blend it lands on are the ones they students think of words for. Have them name, write or draw pictures of words that start with that blend.

Play BOOM or BINGO with different blends words
