My vision is to teach students specific strategies (one at a time) to facilitate accountable talk during group work. The sentence stems will give them reminders of what language to use.
I've done something similar to this in the past, but when I created these I pared down the number (another set I saw had about 20 posters), used language I use during class (e.g. "piggyback"), and added the sentence stems.
I also plan to use a checklist as I'm observing students and note accountable language I'm hearing them use -- especially if it's a strategy I just introduced. I want them practicing!
