Hello! I am a first year teacher (2011-2012) school year. I am planning literature circle lessons. I am beginning with fiction. Does anyone have any suggestions for novels to use? Any feedback, ideas, resources you could give me would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,
My class this year loved City of Ember, The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle, Brian's Winter, and A Single Shard.
Hope that helps.

Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins is a wonderful book to use in book clubs! The entire series is a favorite of my 5th graders every year.
