End of the Year Slide Show

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I am doing a "Mom's Morning" the first week of May and I wanted to make a slide show of the year. If you have done this before, what have you used to make the slide show? Have you just put the pictures in a power point? How do you get music in the background?
I am looking for the easiest and best way to do this!!!!!
Your help would be appreciated!!!!!

I believe I used Windows Movie Maker? I want to say that was the program I used. I burned a presentation set to about 4 songs.. it was just picture after picture with "sad" songs to make parents cry lol, and I burned a copy for each of my parents last year to have on a cd as a keepsake. I plan on doing the same thing again this year! I actually have 2nd generation kiddos.. as in I had their siblings last year, and I have them this year, and they have siblings who will be in kindergarten next year, so I may have them too! I figure if I do it for one kiddo in the family, I have to do it for all. Plus, I know if I was a parent, it would mean a lot to me to have a keepsake like that.

If I recall correctly, Windows Movie Maker lets you easily upload songs and add them.

I prefer Windows Movie Maker, but you can also download Photostory for free. Just google it. I think movie maker is just a little easier, but both are really pretty simple to learn.

I use windows movie maker too. What songs do you use? I usually use These are the Special Times by Celine Dion, Don't I Make You Proud, and The Time of Your Life, but am wondering if there are other ones that will work--I like to change it a bit when there are siblings that I have.

Aww, I'm nearly in tears.. I just rewatched last year's (my 1st year) slideshow to see what songs I used. They were such babies! Wow, I'd almost forgotten!

Haha.. anyway, these are the songs I used.

"Let Them Be Little" - Billy Dean
"My Wish" - Rascal Flatts
"Blink" - Revive
"Please Remember" Leann Rimes

The final picture was our class picture followed by this quote:
"While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is about" - Angela Schwindt.

I can't believe my 2nd year is nearly over.

I have a Mac computer and so I use Imovie. It's a simple program, but I never do anything to fancy. I love the idea of a slide show for Mother's Day.

I forgot, I was going to do pictures and start this project over spring break. Sigh, too much happening at this point in the year.

I used iPhoto last year and had some trouble with the music. In the past I have used power point, but never did the music with it (played it separately). I couldn't figure out iMovie. iPhoto was easy in the respect that I just put all the pictures in a folder and when I wanted to add slides, I was able to. Have fun!

I started off with Power Point and then went to Photosstory and then Movie Maker but went back to Photostory. I love it. Easy simple. My year 2's have made their own one year.
