I am using tagxedo http://www.tagxedo.com/ a site like wordle, but you can put your words into shapes. I'm making a heart tagxedo for Mother's Day.

I keep using this symbol "~" to connect phrases...like:

I~love~you~mom

but when I go to submit the text they aren't in "sequence" or connected. Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone used this site and have an answer for me. Thanks so much!

Keeping words together on Tagxedo word clouds:

Use tilde (~) e.g.,New~York. Tagxedo advises that this method only works with the "load file" and "enter text" methods, but not by using HTML.

Here are a couple of quick ones I just made using tildes and with a heart shape in the background. In the second example , I used triple tildes after the word MOM.

I tried a quick example and had no trouble keeping text together with a tilde, 'Dear Mum' in this case (UK spelling), and also including chosen punctuation (! in this example). Just go to "load..." and then "enter text".

Make sure you don't include punctuation marks unless you have especially nominated these and don't leave any spaces around the tilde.
