I am currently looking for an assignment sheet to send home with my kiddos everyday with any homework assignments they have. If you have one and would be willing to share, that would be fabulous! Thanks!

Monthly Calendar

Clip to ScrapBook #2

We were told told at our school that we needed to cut down on copying. Also, planners were out of the question due to costs. We decided to send home a monthly calendar with assignments written on it. This took a bit of preplanning, but worked really well. I had students keep them in clear, plastic sleeves in their DOT binder (Daily Organizational Tools-thanks to a pters). I understand about student ownership when copying assignments and all, but I had to weigh this with time management. Just a suggestion...

the parents sign off that they their child has read for 20 minutes and worked on math facts for 5 minutes a night.

Weekly spelling lists go home and they are responsible for studying.

This works well for us. About twice a trimester we will have a family activity.

I use. The students mark the box they have homework in. You may change the assignments to meet your needs. I like it because the students mark/write their homework in so it makes them more responsible. I copy double sided.

The students keep the hw sheet in a plastic sleeve in their "daily take-home" folders. On Monday mornings, they remove it and add the new sheet.

Thank you for sharing these with me. I am moving from 3rd where we had planners to 2nd and thought about using an assignment sheet.
