Teacher Discounts at Any Hotels?

Does anyone know of any hotels, which offer teacher discount? I am going away for a week (for my second job) and am hoping to find something nice, yet discounted. I've searched hotels.com & other discount sites, but I was just hoping for a good, old fashioned teacher's discount without all the web surfing/sorting. Thanks

I got a state/local employee discount for being a teacher at a Marriott Hotel. I can't remember if they wanted to see my ID or not, but I took it just in case.

What is your second job that it gets you away from home?

I use my Dh's account to get lower prices on hotels.

I'm an adjunct for a university. I teach teachers I don't get paid very much, and I hate to spend my hard earned money for a week stay at a hotel.
I often just check into a Motel 6 b/c I can afford it....I was just hoping to try a different hotel....

if they give a state employees discount. I have been given a lower rate than AAA at some hotels. Not all will give this.

I always ask. Many will give you a discount if you just ask.

where you're going, but I just stayed in one a few days ago. Drury Inns and Suites. I booked through priceline. I wished I had known about them before. If you're creative you won't have to pay for any meals. They provide a nice breakfast and they have an evening thing starting at 5:30 that includes hot food and beverages (even alcohol if your'e interested) and there is no extra cost. They also have popcorn and pop until 10 pm.
