Amazon.com at a reasonable price. I bought the empty capsules there as well.

I'm sure that there are lots of places to get them.

Well, duh! Now I feel stupid! Why didn't I think of that? Not feeling so great today so I'll blame it on that!

Mind Builders and Capsules

This is too funny because I just clicked on my order for these books! They are on sale, Math is $2.00 and the Lang Arts is $5.00. Of course, I spent $50 because I bought other things that were on sale and had a coupon for $10 off an order over $50.00.

Here is the link:

I got the capsules on eBay. I got red tops and blue tops, 25 each color in the 2" size for 12.85 (that includes shipping to get them by July 5th!) A lot of 25 capsules was 2.89 each, the shipping was $3.90 each!

What search word did you use for the capsules on Amazon?

No math and language arts for 5/6, just vocab and geography.

When I taught 6th in North Carolina I used these math problem solving decks. Perhaps you can use them instead of the mind builders.

Also, their Week by Week Essentials have some great math brain builders. I think 6th graders would find the 5th grade level challenging at the beginning of the year.

Yes, they do also have mind builders for these grades. I did a search for "mind" + grade 5, and they do have more options. However, these are NOT on sale (8.95) and the math and LA (I don't remember if it was language or reading--I don't teach either so I wasn't really paying attention), are only available in e-book format.

They are a bit pricy at $20.00 each.

Wow--what a great resource!! Thank you for sharing! Is that from your district in NC? I wish our district had resources like that available online!

Thanks so much for the links to the NC resources. These are really great! Maybe I'll forgo the whole "mailbox" thing and use these instead.
