Any good books for teaching good Citizenship?

Hello! I am student teaching in a 2nd grade classroom and we are starting our unit on the community and being a good citizen. I love reading books before each lesson where the author's purpose is for the specific topic.

Does anyone have any good books that highlight the topic of being a good citizen or community member?

I'd check your school and local library too!

Depending on what my lesson focus is, I have used these books during my teaching of Citizenship:
The Island of the Skog (building a community/roles of citizens)
The Sign of the Seahorse
Vote!
Old Henry (rights and responsibilities of neighbors)
Officer Buckle and Gloria (laws)

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Maybe it will help you get started.

I read Horton Hears a Who to demonstrate being dependable and responsible.
