I took the idea about Jack-O-Happy poem and changed it to Apple Happy. So the kids need to fill in the capital letters. Here is the story: I am Apple Happy I am Apple Sad. I am Apple Sleepy. I am Apple Mad. Now I'm cut in pieces small. In a pie I'm best of all. I copied the sheets and whited out the mouth and arms (except the first one). Page 5 I gave the kids some red paper to cut up. We talked about proper nouns and feeling.
