zero-shaped snacks or small items

Clip to ScrapBook #1

We count the days of school and every time there is a zero (day 10, 20, etc.) Zero the Hero brings the class a small treat. Mostly it is food, but not always. Today was our 100th day. Tomorrow is 101. another zero! We'll have 11 school days in a row that I need to come up with something.

Will you help me make my list longer. I want some new things. Some of the things Zero has brought my class in the past include:

life savers
Froot Loops
Cheerios
donuts
bagels
pretzel rings
gummy life savers
life saver mints
peach rings
glow bracelets
plastic rings

Thanks!

Ideas for Zero the Hero

Perhaps
- you could use strips of paper which the children staple into a zero shape! (They would make good paper chains!)
- Zero the Hero could bring "zero" as they are "big kids" now and know all about "zero".
- Some play dough in the shape of a zero
- round cracker biscuit (we have a couple of varieties in Australia)
- Smarties
- M & Ms
- a picture where they have to find all the zeros
- a monocle (corrective lens for one eye - made out of card with a piece of yarn/string attached as chain)
- a sentence with zero punctuation which children have to correct
- a word sleuth with zero words to find like on April Fool's Day (search the net for one)
- a maths sheet where all the answers are zero ( but not obvious)
- Cut out circles of sliced bread with a cookie cutter and spread something on top - or zero!
Hope my - sometimes silly - ideas have triggered some ideas.

in a zero shape - I think some are by Keebler. They are a plain cookie with a chocolate drizzle. I used the straight ones for the "1" and two round ones for "0" to make the number 100 on day 100.
