Being an Olympic year, I was wanting to do a few fun and educational activities related to the Olympics. Any great ideas?

How about a math measurement mini games morning?
You'll find ideas here:
http://teacherresourcesgalore.com/beach.htm#olympics

Scroll to second last box on the page and look for Mini Games under 'Maths'.

Here is my own set of mini Olympic station activites which are hugely popular. Divide the class into teams, with each child having a scorecard, and rotate through the stations. You might be able to get some mothers or buddies to assist at stations or else appoint a team leader for each group. If you don't use metric measures, you can adapt the activities to suit.

Almost (I repeat almost) makes me want to teach math so I could use the games. I bookmarked them though because I may some day need them. Thanks

Do you, by any chance, have a copy of your score sheets? TIA

This is great! I still have 6 weeks of school left and need some "fun" educational activities. Thanks

Here are some Olympic themed literacy pages I have started to compile. They might be a starting point for you.
